When I first bought this multi-unit property, it seemed hopeless. Some people, including my wife, told me I was crazy for wanting to become a Landlord in this economy. Once I got the deed, I was a little overwhelmed but in taking a look around, I saw a lot of potential. For one, the stadium-sized pool could use a canopy for people who want to stay outdoors but don’t want sunburn. By placing a recycling bin by the mailboxes, people can toss flyers and unwanted mail and help save the planet. Since the neighbourhood was a little rough, how about placing a snack machine inside one of the vacant units so that people do not have to venture out for a quick snack? All sorts of ideas ran wild inside my head once I had the faith that things were going to be alright. My wife has even signed on to help me clean the place and do some of the advertising once finished.
